Ameriplan Medical

Posted on February 23, 2010.
Ameriplan MedicalHas anyone used Ameriplan Medical (Promotion Plan), and the dose to save $ $?

I think to join the discount medical plan, but I'm not sure it will save me anything. I need real honest answers. I need help with my health bills, but cannot afford $ 400.00 a month for the real and I have 2 children. I hope this will help me decide.
Thank you to all who reply!

Discounts are available with Ameriplan an excellent alternative to insurance for those who do not or can not afford it. In some cases, discounts can be better than Ameriplan insurance. In the case of the Ameriplan Dental Plus program, things like cosmetic dentistry are available where many insurance plans do not cover. There is also no limit on benefits with Ameriplan. One popular insurance company charges more than $ 100 per month for their policy, but will pay a maximum of $ 1,000 in claims annually. (Note that you pay them more money than they ever pay for you) The Ameriplan Dental Plus costs only $ 11.95 per month for an individual or $ 19.95 for an entire family and also offers a vision prescription drugs, and chiropractic. They also have a new health program that includes medical care.

If you can afford to pay hundreds of dollars per month on health insurance going forward. The insurance is wonderful, but incredibly expensive with a lot of rules that limit the type of care you are eligible. Ameriplan offers an alternative that may be beneficial for people who want more options. Many people who have insurance can also benefit by using Ameriplan on their insurance. Ameriplan works very well with medical savings accounts. They are often available through employers offering high deductible insurance. When you spend money from a medical savings acount is YOUR money. This means that when you spend, you should get as far as you can.

I guess those who do not like shots like this are not members of Costco or Sat This is what it boils down to. The same argument could be made. If you use a Costco or Sams membership may be a good tool. If you do not then it will be worthless. Right now you have no insurance and can not afford to take out insurance. If you spend money on joining Ameriplan and actually use it to take your kids to the doctor and the dentist and get glasses is like having cupons for everything you did. If you had a cupon for 50% discount on your child's glasses you use? If yes, then you Ameriplan and use.

Oh, and incidentally with Ameriplan discounts are usually more like $ 100 to $ 20 or $ 30. I do not mind getting "stuck" like that. And also ask the Guy above what he pays in deductions and copays. This should clarify a bit more. Ask them if their HMO, PPO or other insurance is accepted by all doctors throughout the country. Find out how many specialists are on the plans. Insurance is not perfect. Just ask all those people who try to extract money from State Farm in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina.

I'm not familiar with this particular plan, but they are usually just discount cards. They negotiate with care providers to give their members a discount on health services.

IMO, they are not worth the money. If you do not have health insurance many will give a discount if you ask anyway - so why pay someone else?

Your state programs provide health care for children? Here in Florida, they have a very low cost program for children, and the qualifying income is quite high. Check in your state.

I know that the cost of health insurance is ridiculous. It is sooooo important. IHOP YOUCAN find a way to swing for you and your family!

Good luck!

Discount plans do not pay the bills. They can direct you to some.
