Best Long Term Care Insurance CompaniesPosted on January 11, 2010.  What is the best company for the care of long term insurance? There is no better company for LTCI. Not all companies writing policies in each state. Want to visit a local independent agent who can show you the many options available with many companies. You want to get a policy that has the options you want for the best rate. You want to make sure you are satisfied with the elimination period and want a policy that will pay for home care and institutional care. There is no workload with an agent. It is not necessarily a "better" companies, depending on the carrier's financial rating and the features and benefits of each policy. Meeting with an independent broker who can help you choose the best policy. My favorite companies are MetLife, John Hancock and Genworth. They are all excellent. There is no such thing as a best company for nothing. Most insurance companies sell a wide range of products. However, Genworth Financial does specialize in LTC. I'm sure others do too.
