Bluecross Blueshield

I am a university student 19 years old in Florida. Does anyone know if BlueCross BlueShield requires that you be a full time student for the quality as a dependent parent my insurance? My friends say that their parents have BCBS and they only need to be a part-time student? My parents are "not safe", which is why I ask.
