Cat Innoculations

Posted on March 13, 2010.
Cat Innoculationsinoculations Cat?? Probably a stupid question but ...?

I'm going to buy a kitten from a lady who has many cats running around her house. She says she never innoculates kittens, it is simply that all adult cats to take pictures. According to her, when they have litters, kittens get immunity from their mother's milk, such as how human babies get immunity measels. She also says that cats should inoculations if you take them away from home / their region. Are these 2 things true?

The lady also said she feeds her pups from the same dry food as adult cats, and it does them no harm, but we had a kitten before her and her poo was all runny, and the guy pet store said it was because we would feed it kitten. Did we sell food more expensive, and there was something else wrong with the kitten, or was he right?

Just to get some things clear about your kitten: -

Kittens receive immunity from mother cat colostrum, the first 24 hours of milk flow after birth, colostrum is a highly concentrated mixture of large antibody molecules of protein, vitamins, electrolytes and nutrients.

The colostrum from its protective antibody is present only in the first 24 hours of milk flow and newborns can benefit from colostral immunity if they nurse during that time, and they are less of a day. After that, it makes no difference how much or how little they nurse, they will not receive more antibodies.

The amounts of immunoglobulins (antibodies) that are present in milk are directly proportional to the levels of antibodies present in the mother.

However, the newborn can not absorb antibodies after their digestive tract loses the ability to absorb large unaltered protein molecules. All the protection of the animal is that it has received in the first day of life. Later, we can only reinforce this by vaccination.

I recommend purchasing this lady who appears to be a breeder IMHO court. If you really want, do it on your own prerogative. When you get your kitten, please visit with your veterinarian to give your kitten a screen using health as well as receive all necessary vaccinations.

Kitten should not be eating adult food. Kitten food is high in protein and fat has extra vitamins and minerals. The extra protein is necessary for growth and development of muscles and supporting tissues, fat is essential for fatty acids as a carrier for fat-soluble vitamins and additional calories for energy. Minerals, of course, are necessary for the development of teeth and bones.

Thus, the sales assistant to the pet store is right. He does not try to make you buy more expensive food.

Yes, babies get immunity from their mothers while they are breastfeeding. Once nursing is, they need to be vaccinated.
She may be right about them need when you move, almost like living in a bubble, something strange happens until you're used to everything already in the bubble.
Although I have fed kittens dry cat without any problems. I usually buy some additional costs have mounted to curb food for a few weeks.

Even if this lady has a lot of cats, it seems a bit thick when it comes to their overall health.

No, they do not receive immunity from their mother ...
No you shouldn't feed on dry food alone ...

Yes, they need their inoculations .... You can bring the disease into your home without wanting the bottom of your shoes ....

Yes, they should be fed kitten food - dry food and adult cat food is too strong for the small stomach, where the liquid poo.

Since everybody sort of answer the question ... Can you call the Humane Society or something and do something about this woman if she let BRE cats.
