Hans Hass, where are you? We are looking for a friend who was a German exchange student. He stayed with me? family for a year. He graduated from high school here in Michigan.
Hans went on a skiing holiday in California with my family. Hans's father was a store owner in Bonn in Germany, he sold quilts beautiful and sent one of my parents. When Hans arrived in Michigan, he needed dental care and my mother made sure he got it. My parents lived on Cedar Island Lake. After our studies, we went to the passing stranger in Europe, mainly walking and camping. We went to Greece, we dived for octopus. We have seen the Berlin Wall, nearly got arrested for mooning East Berlin. Finally we arrived at the house of the parents of Hans where I stayed for some time. Hanns and I lost touch. I'm about to turn 65 and Hanns would be about 65-67 years. If someone. The address we had for him (40 years ago was: Hanns Hass Vorgebirstr 62, Bonn, Germany 53-hr. All suggestions will be appreciated.
There are 6 entries in the phonebook German for "Hass" (or spelled with a German double-s, aŸ) in Bonn, but none in the VorgebirgstraaŸe, not Hans. Maybe he proposes. If he is still alive and in Germany, perhaps you should write a letter to "Einwohnermeldeamt" (Register of Citizens, that is). Their address is:
Bundesstadt Bonn
Einwohnermeldeamt
Berliner Platz 2
53103 Bonn
Germany

If they know where he was, I'm sure they can help you.
