Commercial Public Liability Insurance

I am a non-commercial film short, and you want to draw some scenes in the forest. However, to this end, the council say that I need an insurance liability. Can I still get it if I am not a professional filmmaker? (I'm just a student)

You should be able to obtain liability insurance for that. Do not call a broker, but just call a few companies directly, explain what you need to. You can take this one year to complete if you are given the choice to go for an option to pay by direct debit - that way you can cancel the DD to the bank!
