I understand that Medicare pays almost never for "custodial care". But in 2009 "Medicare and You" book on page 38 under the heading "What is not covered by Part A and Part B?" He said "No maintenance is not covered, except when you also get skilled nursing care in a skilled nursing facility, home, or in the context of palliative care. It should be coded as child care and care for the claim to be paid by Medicare. If the codes RN request medical services and Medicare will probably deny it.
