Will I be able to obtain medical insurance in Cyprus as I am diabetic? I'm emigrating to Cyprus, I am able to obtain private medical insurance that I am diabetic and I have to pay for my insulin and needles. I'm also paying for prescriptions that I am a lady of 60 years. Thank you
You can get medical insurance, but it will not cover you for anything to do with pre-existing disease and your age will be of no use. It is better to record in a medical savings plan as HSA (not sure they cover Cyprus, but worth a try). Regards your insulin I suggest you write or speak to the consulate of Cyprus in London and get an official response. However, as Cyprus joined the EEC, you will get basic EU medical assistance.
