Dental Blue Massachusetts

Posted on February 18, 2010.
Dental Blue MassachusettsHow much should I pay for a health insurance plan family?

I am a teacher in Massachusetts to approx. $ 48,000. My husband lost his job and return to college full time, and we have two children.

My health family work through the insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield and another carrier (Blue Cross to cover the deductible), including dental cost $ 143.00 per week this year, $ 572 per month! (We co-payments 15.00 for office visits, 50,00 for the hospital, and dental cleanings and covers 60% of other services.)

Realize that I take home $ 600 a week, so I am indeed losing a paycheck every month for health insurance. We did not even spend that much on groceries every month, and our monthly rent is $ 800.

Is the average amount? Can I look elsewhere for insurance if my job offers this plan? I feel like I'm budgeting the rest of my life away, but the health insurance just keeps going higher and higher ...

You can easily check your minimum rate of Internet health care, for example here - health quotes.isgreat.org

It is a common situation many people have met, calm yourself, and check the resource that I found useful.

It's actually a very good price (unless you're 22 years). It may be more of your take home, but only 14% of your total income and you can even pay for that pre-tax dollars.
