Evercare Health Insurance? My mother has 67 years of Medicare. To cover the remaining payments that are not covered by Medicare, it was Blue Cross Blue Shield. But she recently changed Evercare insurance from this year. It's a bit complicated and I do not understand ... be better? Advantages and disadvantages there would be no monthly premium with Evercare, but you have to pay higher deductible when you use the services. If you had Evercare, what do I know to make a better decision?
It's much too complicated to give you a definitive answer here. Evercare is a Medicare Advantage plan with special needs. Depending on what state she lives in terms of Blue Cross could have been a regular Medicare Advantage plan, but more than likely it was a supplement to Medicare. What is the best depends on the situation in which nobody knows here and since you did not say that the Blue Cross plan there is no way to make a comparison.
There is no deductible with the Evercare plan but there are co-pays when you use medical services. The plan also includes a Evercare Part D prescription drug coverage. A supplement to Medicare Blue Cross or any other person has no co-pays for most services, but the premium may be higher and will not include Part D.
Medicare has restrictions on when you can change plans. Generally, you have the annual subscription from November 31 to December 15 to make unlimited changes and open enrollment from January 1 to March 31 in limited changes. You can not change during the rest of the year, however, have a plan for special needs, you can go to another level of special needs at any time. It may or may not be another plan needs specific to your region. It is guaranteed to return to a supplementary health insurance, if that's what she had with Blue Cross within 12 months after the switch to Evercare plan without underwriting or increase the premium for health reasons within the time above.
What you need to know is how the quota would in any order it and for medical services he uses with its current plan. You compare that information with other plans available and also with Medicare supplements. This is not an easy chore.
Visit a local agent who works with all major companies in your area. The agent can find the best plan for its location and because they represent all the companies will not try to shoe horn in his specific plan. There is no extra charge using an agent.
