Why insurance companies do not pay for Lasik Eye Surgery? It seems they want people to go through the rest of your life with glasses or contact lenses. It does not seem to be any real cure for people with poor eye sight. Their vision of the eyes always get worse. Is it the sight of a poor eye condition is not curable? All ophthalmologist does get glasses a stronger person during their life. If Lasik Eye Surgery is close to a cure for the poor why do not insurance companies approve of it?
Because no insurance company will cover an elective procedure involving cutting into healthy tissue, for no reason save for cosmetics and save time at the risk of having to spend another 10 years covering treatments when things go wrong.
Fence Me
eye sight is poor is not a disease. eye sight is not always the worst. I am 50 and have the same order since I was 18.
Now at my age I need reading glasses as well, since after 40 everyone starts to lose muscle tone in the muscles inside the eye focus. In addition, the lens inside the eye becomes less flexible, which also increases the need for reading glasses.
LASIK can reduce or eliminate the need for binoculars, it does not reduce need for everyone reading glasses with age. LASIK is not a cure.
LASIK is considered cosmetic surgery / elective surgery or elective surgery and is not curing a disease progression and thus are not covered by insurance.
Aging effects all body systems and until someone discovers the secret of eternal life, we all age, we all need reading glasses and we will all age related weakening of view, hearing, reflexes, etc.
They believe it is not medically necessary.
Many people who have, have developed problems. The first is that it gives the people's eyes and dry. If the person has dry eyes, it makes things worse and that person is in constant pain.
This is not a cure for everyone.
I could never do.
view of peoples stabilizes. It does not deteriorate.
Lasik is not a cure for bad eyesight and it will not work for everyone. It is only intended to reduce dependence on contacts or glasses.
Yes, poor vision can be treated - with glasses and contact lenses and surgery in some cases. And the sight of the eyes are not always the worst, it can stabilize and remain the same for years can.
