Fiduciary Liability InsurancePosted on March 10, 2010. I want to know insurance? I am currenlty working for an insurance company specializing in insurance for commercial accounts. I'm the receptionist if I do not really have much. I want to take more responsibility, but here you do not get respect without liscense. My boss will pay for my classes but I do not know the first thing about insurance. From what I hear, we deal with general liability, fiduciary liability, D & O workers, life, auto insurance companies, and a model. We also have a dental department. Before getting into my classes, I want to know the basics is there a place online that can help me, or a book I can get somewhere? Thank you guys for help. Get your license immediately. Go take classes that your boss will pay for. They are fairly easy. Is your company supports both P & C and life, tell them you want to obtain both licenses. This will make you more valuable. I think I did my studies in Dearborn, but there are several good companies to use. The classes, they will send and pay for classes, undergraduate ... this will give you the information you need to pass the tests, but it should offer a training after getting your license on how they do it. I have my AAM & AIT. I took 2 of the 4 classes to get my CIO but he did not want to finish. Go to class you prepare for the license examination and obtain a permit. You get the basics there. Once you are cleared you can then leave behind the reception desk and enter a position either underwriting or sales side, a job as account manager in a brokerage. These positions will provide training on the job, you will need to become an expert in the field you have chosen. You will need education credits beyond, if you continue to take classes too. serious people who want insurance make good money and take care of their customers and obtain identification information such as CPCU, CIC, RPLU, and many others. There is much to learn and a lot of money to do. great career. Does not stand in the lobby. You can subscribe to a certificate in general insurance, of course, through your local independent agent association, but your best bet is to move from job to a very small 2-3 person independent agency who is willing to train you .
