Fml Insurance

Posted on January 17, 2010.
Fml InsuranceOnce an employee is over 12 weeks of FML, can they be required to pay the insurance premium in full?

Some employees try to abuse our system. It has been on leave for 26 weeks, another for 30 weeks. Could we, as an employer, said at the beginning of the leave after 12 weeks, they must pay the entire premium (employer and the amount they cost)?

I think something like that is actually covered in a paragraph for the MLF - Check the law - and then you change company policies to reflect the change

Even after the full extent of MFL, are really an employee or are they available for Cobra - from what I understand, you just have to ensure their job / position within 3 months of nothing Furthur leave, therefore, not being an employee, you should not have to pay health care for them.
