Hello, I'm 19. My mother has the assurance of the IGS. Since I am the age of 18 years, I must be full-time student enrolled in college. My question is are there other ways to remain covered other than being a full-time student because I may not be able to go to college next semester, but I need my medical coverage.

You can try to get your own individual policy. However, you said you have a blanket that mean that you have a health problem requiring treatment? If yes, more than likely (depending on state), it will not be covered because it is a pre-existing condition or you may even be refused. Visit a local agent who works with all major companies in your area. The agent can know what plans are available with your health and what each insurance company would do. There is no extra charge using an agent.

If you are not in school full time you will not be able to remain covered by your policy moms.
