Has anyone heard of critical illness insurance? Has anyone ever used or benefited from the insurance ctitical Great-West Life Assurance? I think I have, I am a healthy man of 38 years in Canada?
I saw many people benefit from this insurance (I work in an insurance company that sells this product). It is not only covering you against a serious illness, however. Often, it covers many serious diseases. Say you have a policy that covers illness heart attacks, cancer and stroke ...
If you have a heart attack, the lump-sum benefit for heart attack. Then, the party's heart attack the policy is void. You can not claim on the policy again if you have another heart attack. However, your policy is still in effect then, if 10 years later you get cancer, another benefit is paid.
It really is not a required coverage (again, there are plenty of insurance is not necessary) ... but I have seen many people benefit. Health insurance is certainly not always cover all expenses incurred by any of these diseases.

Yes, Great-West Life will pay for coverage if you are covered for serious illnesses.
It is available against the disease worse if the insurance companies. Count on a company health coverage for coverge CritiCall be different.

Yes. It's stupid.
It's a bit like buying a car insurance policy in case you get hit by a blue car. It will not cover damage caused by the red cars, white cars, black cars or green cars.
If you want coverage for a disease, you can buy health insurance. If you want a payment when you die, you can buy life insurance. If you buy coverage for a disease only, and the chances that you'll die of something else are enormous. It is therefore ridiculous to insure you against a single disease. How stupid to guard against damage blue car.
