How do I get a life, accident and health insurance license. I started as an independent contractor for a health insurance company and do not make sense out of it license. Am I supposed to get a certificate of pre-license and then get a permit? I thought I could buy one of those books of the undergraduate studies, study for the exam, then pass the exam to get my driver's license. Please someone help me understand exactly what I'm supposed to do. I'm frustrated. How do I get the friggin license. Thank you
Where are you. There are different rules depending on where you are and what type of insurance yourself. For life, accident and sickness, Alberta in Canada, you must write a pre-examination, that pass, then pass the provincial exam and pass it. Each test is approximately 4 hours. Once you have passed, you need a company that is authorized to sell in Alberta and have them sign for you as an agent. Once the paperwork is submitted, fees paid and approved, you get your license. Then, you must obtain continuing education credits each year to maintain your license.
What is the name of Insurance Company? They offered no help to you through training, etc.?
