After reading CA Family Code 297.5. can someone explain why the marriage for homosexuals?
The registration code for domestic partners is clearly explained .....



297.5. (A associated) Domestic Registered to have the same rights,
protections and benefits, and are subject to the same
responsibilities, obligations and duties under the Act if
result of laws, rules of court laws,
government policies, common law or any other provision or sources
law as are granted to spouses and imposed.
(B) former headquarters of the national partners should have the same
rights, protections and benefits, and are subject to the same
responsibilities, obligations and duties under the Act if

of law, are granted and imposed on ex-spouses.
(C) A surviving registered domestic partner after the death

benefits and are subject to the same responsibilities,
obligations and duties under law, whether they derive from statutes,
administrative regulations, court rules, government policy, common
law, or any other provision or sources of law, as are accorded to
and imposed upon a widow or widower.
(D) The rights and obligations of registered domestic partners
respect of a child of one of them must be the same as those
spouses. The rights and obligations of former or surviving
registered domestic partners with respect to a child of one of
these are the same as those of former or surviving spouse.
(E) To the extent that the provisions of California law adopt, refer
, Or rely on provisions of federal law in a way that otherwise
cause registered domestic partners to be treated differently
that spouses, registered domestic partners must be treated
California law as if federal law recognized a domestic partnership
the same manner as California law.
(F) Registered domestic partners have equal rights
non-discrimination with respect to those provided for spouses.
(G) A public body in this state may not discriminate against any
person or couple on the grounds that the person is a registered trademark
domestic partners rather than the spouse or the couple are
registered domestic partners rather than spouses, except that there
in this section applies to modify eligibility for long-term care
plans in accordance with Chapter 15 (commencing with Section 21660) of Part
3 of Section 5 of Title 2 of the Code of government.
(H) This Act does not preclude any State or local agency
exercising its regulatory authority to implement legislation providing
rights, or impose responsibilities on domestic partners.
(I) This section does not alter or modify any provision of the
California Constitution or any provision of a law that has been
adopted by the initiative.
(D) Where appropriate, to implement the rights of registered domestic
partners under this Act, the gender-specific terms referring to spouses
can be interpreted to include domestic partners.
(K) (1) For the purposes of laws, administrative regulations,
Court Rules, government policies, common law, and any other provision
or a source of law governing the rights, protections and benefits,
and responsibilities, duties and obligations of registered
national partners in this state, as effectuated by this section, with
respect of the community property, mutual responsibility of debts
Third, the law in the particular circumstances of each
partners to seek financial support.
