Nanny Liability Insurance

Posted on February 7, 2010.
Nanny Liability InsuranceMy nanny agency needs liability insurance, which we shall we succeed?

I run a lead agency in VA, I have a couple of independent contractors in other states to work for me, I want to obtain liability insurance in case there are still problems but do not know what we get and do not want to be taken for a lot of money. Can anyone tell me what I should do?

Of course, but if you talk about a nanny causes a problem that you will be prosecuted for that.

You must communicate with a large independent local agency to cite this OUT. It probably will not be particularly cheap, especially if you're looking for abuse / molestation defense costs.

If you have an "independent contractor" working exclusively for you, they could be technically considered an employee for purposes of Workers Comp. Even if they are not, you are responsible (general contractor) for benefits or claims they may contain, in many states. Then you probably also a model worker exposure - which is more likely to cause you a financial loss, liability.
