Optician Fees

Posted on February 24, 2010.
Optician FeesMy optician gave me a contact lens free trial that I excepted.?

When the trial was over and I was very happy with the results I decieded to wear them full time. On my appointment free trial said that the cost would be £ 9.00 per month. When I returned I said my plan would cost £ 8.00 per month. This does not include my lenses. Which cost £ 12.00 per month at that time. I asked what the £ 8.00 has rights and was told PROFFESIONAL. Included in that was an eye exam if necessary. lenses straighten your relationship if necessary, check if necessary. Not all opticians collect a fee of £ 8.00 per month PROFFESIONAL plus the cost of lenses, as they appear instructing me to this additional fee just to order my lenses for me. Is this a common practice?

Your optician is legally obliged to provide a copy of your prescription, so if he play with you about that, it might be useful to find another optician.

You do not have to subscribe to a payment plan for the contacts either. You can get your prescription contact lenses your optician too, and buy another lens Optican, or online, but your order must be less than 2 years, but then of course there is no monitoring, So if you have any problems with the lenses, you're on your own, unless you book another eye exam.

according to the goals you have been perscribed glasses for the price to vary. Why not ask your perscription for your contact lenses that you have been given and try another optician and see what they are charging. Ive been wearing contact lenses for years and I just paid for the lenses, but I keep an eye test every two years is recommended.
