Supplemental Insurance

Supplemental InsuranceInsurance?

I need some basic information on complementary health insurance (short-term disability). I intend to get pregnant quickly and my insurance company a little less work sucks. I would be off for at least 8 weeks with the baby, but still need my income! Any tips, advice, general cost of obtaining insurance for individual, etc. I'm pretty clueless about how it works. Thank you!

You're not terribly likely to find an insurance policy that does what you ask ... especially not if you're planning to get pregnant "soon".

Take the money you tried to use a premium and start to put aside now, so you will have money to cover the cost of these 8 weeks you want to take off after the baby is born.

The disability is very expensive, and in your situation, you will not find a company that already knows it will pay funds to your pregnancy. It would have been thought before.

Private short-term disability coverage does not include maternity coverage. If you find a policy, a slim chance that the fact, probably, you will need to wear a year before getting pregnant, that pregnancy must be covered.

There will be cheaper for you to just put aside $ 50 a week for your "maternity leave" savings.
