Supplemental Unemployment InsurancePosted on January 23, 2010. The agencies of insurance, supplemental unemployment insurance? Hello. I recently learned that my company will leave the company and I'll let go in about 2 months. I need to find a company that will pay additional insurance unemploymnet (over and above what the state will give me) to cover my expenses. This should be an insurance benefit that does not require a medical reason for unemployment. I already have that through AFLAC. Any help is appreciated. I live in New Jersey, if this helps answer the question. There is no extra charge to your unemployment. If you do not think you can live on what state you pay or you do not think it will last long enough, start now to find work elsewhere. As you know you are probably entitled to unemployment benefit, such as salaries for a period of time. Never heard of unemployment insurance, except as used to define what the employer pays if 3 or more persons are employed full time. Personally I never accept unemployment as the answer to my needs and income would be looking for a job at this time rather than trying to increase your spending. The money saved would be better spent now than in the hope that you can have something to claim. I've never heard of "additional unemployment insurance," as a cover for carriers. And indeed, if there was such a thing - the employer would have to buy it, and they would justify that there are no layoffs to come - which means that if layoffs occur, there is no coverage. you, you can not buy insurance, unemployment, only a company can do that. instead of living out of state, why not start looking for a job today, 2 months is a long time to find something different! not really CommentsThere are no comments.Leave a Comment |
